Made this over the course of about a month to make sense of a lot of things going on with my life.
It's become increasingly clear my life is moving faster than I planned, and I'm not sure if I'm up to speed, or if I ever will be. This is one of the most turbulent times in recent history, not just in general, but for the rights of people like me in the U.S.
Things will probably get worse before we get better, but the thought that keeps me going through it all is:
"You've lived this long, that's something to be proud of. Keep it up."
Hopefully we can keep going.
This is Also the lead single for a new 2-part album project exploring my thoughts on the nature of existence further, split into two parts: The Fear and The Hope.
lyrics
At times the world may seem
Ready to tear us all down
And sometimes we are Right
But we'll stand our ground and live for today
Just remember strength
You've made it this far
Just remember hope
It's never too far gone
Just remember pride
In making it this far
Be the living proof that love is still alive
and take hold of the ones you love
to lift them up above the evils of demented fools
